About This Blog

Essentially a travel journal, this blog is a collection of pictures, anecdotes, and occasional useful information gleaned from my experiences trying to see all there is to see. The other blog I author, Taschen, focuses on medieval purses and bags. I am also a major contributor to the New York Historical Fencing Association's blog.

Soon to break out into the Euro scene

Well, after I've spent 20+ years of my life daydreaming about "someday" travelling abroad, I am finally going. My adventures will begin less than two weeks from now, when I fly to Zürich, Switzerland to visit an old friend. There, I plan on spending a leisurely 16ish days visiting museums, exploring a castle or two, and maybe scrambling around the Swiss Alps.

Following that will be what I can only imagine as the 3 most anxious months ever, in which I sell my soul back to retail hell - full-time - to make as much money as possible in preparation for my move to Praha, CZ to (hopefully) teach English.

So, if Europe is indeed what I've always dreamed it to be, and I happen to have a free moment to share any of my adventures/experiences with everyone else, this would be the place for that.

Woohoo! Blog-o-Tristan! This is a perfect plan - you get to try Europe on for size before takin' the plunge, as it were.

Have an awesome time!
